Tomorrow is the day we've been waiting for -- we are leaving for South Sudan!!! Our flight leaves at around 7:30am from Nairobi and the first stop will be in Lokichogio (Kenya). From their our flight will take us to Malakal (S. Sudan) and then in Doro (S. Sudan) where we will be staying overnight! The next morning we will be flown to Paloich (S. Sudan) and then be driven to Melut, our final destination and new home! We are awaiting this journey with much excitement and a touch of nerves!
We've been spending our time shopping, packing and weighing. Our flights can only take in so many kilograms of belongings, so it has been quite the challenge to figure out and prioritize food, tables, chairs, toiletries, medicines and other household belongings.

| The Heska pharmacy!! |

| David taping our stuff |

For the first few days in Melut we will stay with the
Fader family and then we'll move into the campus nurses house while she's away. David will be building our house so stay tuned for a post on how to build a prefab house!
Both mel and I are so proud of you guys, if that sounds right, and honored that we can call you friends. We will continue to pray for you and can't wait to see you guys again! And of course we will keep up to tabs on the blog!
ReplyDeletePraying, praying, praying for you guys! Love you and looking forward to reading more about your adventures soon!!! xo
