It's been quiet on our blog for the past few weeks as we've been traveling and enjoying some time off. Every 3-4 months our organization encourages its staff to leave South Sudan, and this time it worked out that Karen's sister was able to come join us in Nairobi for 2 weeks. We had a great time together!!
Karen, Rachel and I also were able to go to the Masai Mara for a 3 night getaway. There's nothing quite like taking a 2 year old to see giraffes, zebras, hippos, lions, cheetahs, and wildebeests... We all loved it!
We've finished our shopping and packed it all into 8 large boxes (weighing 75kgs), which will come with us on our flight to South Sudan on Wednesday. Then the adventure will continue...

I'm pretty jealous you guys got to see the Great Migration! And I can only imagine what this experience was like with Rachel on the game drives, I bet it was super fun! Hope you guys made it back well to South Sudan :)
