It's been a whirlwind ever since we got accepted with our organization in early August! We couldn't have done it without the help and encouragement from a lot of people and so we want to offer some thanksgiving here.
- Thank you to the larger Church family who has given sacrificially in order for this to happen and has been praying with and for us through this whole process. We are immensely humbled.
- Thank you to the 6 local churches in Southern Ontario who welcomed us to share about what we will be doing. (A special thanks to my church in Markham who gave us a very encouraging send off - that day helped build even more excitement for us to go to South Sudan.)
- Thank you to our families who've helped in many ways including taking care of Rachel so that we could go shopping for supplies.
- Thank you to our companies for providing each of us with a year leave of absence.
- Thank you to Rolf & Irene N and Moses & Miranda L. You were timely and very instrumental in praying, building us up, and exhorting us at times when we really needed it. Thanks too for the fun playdates Rachel had with Micah, Emma and Evie.
- Thank you to Nick & Amanda O and Jeremy & Michelle S for letting us store a lot of our stuff in your homes!
Our next blog post will hopefully be written from Nairobi, Kenya.
