Rachel's 2nd Birthday

This past weekend we celebrated Rachel’s 2^nd birthday!  The day started with opening presents and then for breakfast we had Rachel’s favourites: oranges from the Melut market, eggs from Malakal, and freeze dried blueberries.   

After breakfast Rachel got her new dress on and together we walked around campus as she handed out lollipops to everyone. 

Before lunch Karen made the birthday cake and then while Rachel napped from 1-3pm we cut up watermelon, blew up balloons and set up our patio for the party.

Rachel loved having her friends over.  

She loved the stickers she received and the new diaper for her baby doll Rose gave to her, and she enjoyed talking to her grandparents on the phone!

We had a fun day!
